An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse working 37.5 hours a week.
This post on a Ward is temporary for a fixed term of eleven months, however the successful candidate will be offered a permanent contract within a Hospital. If there is not a permanent position available in this Ward upon completion of the fixed term post the successful candidate will be offered assistance in finding another permanent position within the Hospital.
The initial post in the Ward is a temporary post, comprising of 12 hour shifts rotating between day shift and night shift, including weekend and public holiday working.
The ward based in the Hospital is a 22 bedded GP acute/short term rehabilitation/palliative care ward, with a daycase provision also.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, hard working individual with a genuine interest in this type of nursing to join our team. You must have the ability to work in a busy clinical area that can have an unpredictable workload. You must also be adaptable to the needs of a continually changing service.
The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent organisational skills and be adaptable to developments within the service. Cannulation and venepuncture skills and an up to date immediate life support qualification would be an advantage although training can be provided for the right candidate.
