We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to lead the work and ongoing development of the North of Scotland Regional Head & Neck Cancer Group across the administrative areas of the 6 North of Scotland Health Boards. The appointment will be for a period of 2 years.
Applicants will be clinical leaders from any profession, have knowledge and experience in the provision and development of cancer services, and currently practising within one of the 6 North of Scotland Board areas. Working closely with clinicians in all disciplines and NOSCAN Regional Cancer Advisory Forum (RCAF), you will lead and support implementation of evidence based practice; play a key role in the monitoring of clinical standards; promote the development of care pathways that support equitable access to cancer care across the region; and contribute to the strategic planning of cancer services generally in the North of Scotland.
Applicants will command the respect of North of Scotland Regional Head & Neck Cancer Group members and demonstrate commitment to the principles of collaborative working and the role of such regional groups in delivering improvements in cancer care across the region. The ability to work across traditional Health Board boundaries and organisations is essential, as is the ability to manage change within a complex environment.
It is anticipated that the commitment required would amount to 1 session (4 hours) per week.
